The Division provides all of the investigative and inspection duties required of the boards under contract with the Division. The mission of the Boards and Commissions that have contracted with the Division is to take action and protect the public with respect to licensed/registered individuals. The Boards are legally authorized to take disciplinary action against an individual only when the individual has violated the statutes and rules governing the individual's profession.

The Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division enforces various consumer laws, including Idaho’s Consumer Protection Act, Competition Act, Telephone Solicitation Act, and Charitable Solicitation Act. These laws protect consumers, businesses and the marketplace from unfair or deceptive acts and practices. Idaho Real Estate Commission
The Commission administers the Real Estate License Law regulating real estate brokerage in Idaho. It issues licenses to real estate brokers and sales associates, develops and oversees education programs and licensing exams, and investigates complaints and takes disciplinary actions for violations of the license law.
